After Smackdown Live went off the air last Tuesday night, we saw Baron Corbin attack Shinsuke Nakamura from behind after Nakamura had the dream main event match against John Cena. After the attack, we saw John Cena making the save and delivering a massive AA to Baron Corbin.
The current plan as things stand is for Baron Corbin to take on John Cena one on one in this year’s SummerSlam PPV. When it comes to Corbin cashing in his Money in the Bank Contract, there are no plans for him to cash in his chance until Mahal drops the title to either Nakamura or a future baby face opponent. Since Mahal is the current champion and he is a heel, WWE does not see the point of Corbin cashing in his contract for the time being.
