Former Impact Wrestling star SoCal Val will be the special guest on next week’s episode of The Voice of Wrestling, and the above preview clip has been released featuring Val addressing the controversy surrounding WWE women not competing at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia. VOW airs every Wednesday at 5pm EST on FITE TV, and you can check out past episodes at this link.
Val is not the only wrestling personality who has weighed-in on the subject of the WWE women not competing in Saudi Arabia, as yesterday Triple H had the following to say on the Greatest Royal Rumble event not featuring the WWE women:
“I understand that people are questioning it, but you have to understand that every culture is different and just because you don’t agree with a certain aspect of it, it doesn’t mean it’s not a relevant culture.
“While women are not competing in the event, we have had discussions about that and hope that, in the next few years they will be.
On the most recent edition of “Dinner With the King”, host Jerry Lawler and special guest Jim Cornette were talking about the controversy surrounding the Saudi event, and Cornette speculated that WWE is making millions and millions off the event – more money than people think – so why not give the women a hefty payday while they stay at home? King responded by saying “I think that’s exactly what’s happening.”
