Following on the heels of a successful Raw rating, Tuesday’s SmackDown had its best ratings since the July 18th live draft special. Tuesday’s show was watched by 2,835,000 viewers, up 4% from last week’s total.
The number was good enough to place SmackDown in second place for the night on cable, behind The Haves and The Haves Nots on the Oprah network. SmackDown did finish #1 in the 18-49 demo on cable with a 0.91 rating.
As it’s been doing since the brand split, SmackDown retained between 80 and 85% of the Raw audience, this week settling in at 83.07%. It will be interesting to see if the trend continues next week as Raw will be airing on Labor Day and against a big college football game.
Since the July 25th show — the first without RAW talent — SmackDown has averaged 2,650,000 viewers, well up from the 2.1-2.2 million viewers the show had been doing when airing taped shows on Thursday nights.
