Few could have predicted just how successful Ronda Rousey would be when she officially transitioned from an MMA career to a career in pro wrestling earlier this year. Rousey has had great matches against the likes of Nia Jax since signing with WWE, and her tenure in the business has only just begun. However, before coming over to WWE, Rousey made a name for herself by becoming one of the most dominant fighters in UFC history. Rousey famously was undefeated in her fights, and she became a huge box office attraction as a result. Rousey impressed fans during her time in UFC, and she received a huge honor last night for all of her contributions when she was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

Ronda Rousey was announced for this year’s UFC Hall of Fame class earlier this year, and the induction ceremony finally took place last night. UFC President Dana White cited Rousey as a pioneer for female fighters in UFC, and she is being recognized as the first female to enter the Hall of Fame. Rousey commented on her induction afterwards, as did some of the WWE Superstars who now work alongside Ronda Rousey. Rousey is currently suspended from WWE in storyline, but she confirmed earlier this week that she will still be attending the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, so it won’t be too much longer until Rousey is back in the ring to get her revenge on current Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss.

When the Superstar Shakeup took place earlier this year, it was announced that former NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega would be joining the Smackdown roster. Almas and Vega have made a few appearances on Smackdown so far, and the two of them have been involved in a feud with Sin Cara over the weeks. New reports have suggested that Almas was originally set to begin a much more noteworthy feud against Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship. Wrestling Standard says that Almas had been set to feud with Hardy, but plans were changed to have Almas feud with Shinsuke Nakamura instead while Almas has more time to develop as a new member of the Smackdown roster.
