Lucha Underground performer King Cuerno was apparently offered a spot in WWE’s upcoming “Global Cruiserweight Series” 32-man tournament this summer, which will air across ten weeks on the WWE Network with qualifying matches being held at select EVOLVE, PROGRESS Wrestling and Revolution Pro events.

While Cuerno was said to be looking forward to happily accepting the offer, AAA and Lucha Underground reportedly prevented him from doing so.

King Cuerno is currently signed to a seven season deal, however he wasn’t at the first round of the season three tapings and hasn’t wrestled for AAA since March 4th.
