WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has released the following excerpt from his latest “Ross Report” podcast during which Ross compares the support Becky Lynch is getting from the WWE fans to the early days of the Stone Cold Steve Austin character.

“There’s a groundswell of support for her that’s very organic”, said Ross. “Reminiscent to the early days of the development of the Stone Cold character. Becky is kind of playing off some that same general feel with her on-screen demeanor. She’s a little bit of an anti-establishment, she’s had enough, she’s pissed off. And no more Mr. Nice Girl and no more sidekick.”

Groundswell support @WWE Universe is giving @BeckyLynchWWE is reminiscent of the @steveaustinBSR fan appeal in ’96/’97…I talk about this on my latest #WestwoodOne podcast “The Jim Ross Report”, which also features @reymysterio @CodyRhodes this week 👇https://t.co/41EMtypqcr pic.twitter.com/jpYKKmnABK

Ross is not the only WWE Hall of Famer comparing Lynch to Stone Cold, as Bully Ray recently made the comparison on an episode of Busted Open Radio, and you can read more at this link.
