Sports Illustrated Extra Mustard got an answer out of Daniel Bryan recently concerning his future and The Bearded SmackDown General Manager had some very interesting things to say about a specific timeframe in which he might figure things out.
“I assume that if I don’t wrestle by WrestleMania, I probably won’t be wrestling with WWE at all,” said Bryan. “That’s my assumption.”
“It’s not a black and white answer,” Daniel Bryan continued. “There are a lot of issues with me getting cleared by WWE. They have a very strict protocol, which is a good thing, but the timeline of all that happening was not the best for me. It’s an interesting situation that will develop.”
So it looks like if Daniel Bryan isn’t wrestling by Mania, he’s not going to wrestle for WWE again. Of course, he admits this is an assumption, but it could also contain a little bit of hinting at the desired outcome as well. In all honesty, if Daniel Bryan’s WWE contract is set to expire before SummerSlam then WrestleMania 34 would be the last ideal time to bring him back to the ring.
