Sam Roberts has done it again…
The controversial podcast host was added to the WWE Main Event commentary team this week, introduced as a “special guest analysts” alongside Byron Saxton and Renee Young. The match in question saw Dana Brooke take on Tamina Snuka, who was returning to singles competition for the first time since her tag team partner, Nia Jax, was put on the injured list.
Roberts claimed that he was “not remotely impressed” with Brooke’s recent performance at WrestleMania, claiming that she has “been begging for opportunity, and every opportunity she has gotten has been futile for her.”
Roberts did not stop there.
Later in the match, when one of the other commentators noted that Tamina seemed to be in an especially bad mood, he quickly shot back that he “wouldn’t exactly be in a wonderful mood if I found out I was returning to singles action, and it was in a match against Dana Brooke of all people.”
Of course, when Brooke actually won the match by countering Tamina’s signature Samoan Drop, Roberts responded by comparing Brooke’s career in WWE to a broken clock being right twice a day.
The WWE Superstar fired back on Twitter this afternoon with the following statement:
