When it comes to pro wrestling, there may be no bigger name in the history of the business than Hulk Hogan. Hogan transformed wrestling forever in the 80s and 90s in such a way that is still felt to this day. His popularity as a babyface during his WWF run was unmatched, and his surprising heel turn when he joined WCW to form the New World Order breathed new life into his career. Given his achievements in wrestling, as well as due to all of the stories and controversy that has surrounded “The Hulkster” over the years, his life seems like it would be perfect for a movie. Sure enough, it appears that Netflix has gotten the ball rolling on a Hulk Hogan biopic, and they’ve already cast their lead actor for the movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a biopic based on the career of Hulk Hogan is in development right now and actor Chris Hemsworth is expected to play “The Immortal” in the new movie. Hemsworth is perhaps best known for his work as Thor in the Marvel films. Meanwhile, fresh off of finishing the upcoming “Joker” movie, Todd Phillips is set to direct and Scott Silver is writing the script. Phillips, Michael Sugar, Bradley Cooper, and Eric Bischoff are also said to be joining the project as producers. Hogan himself is expected to be a consultant for the new movie. The report notes that the film is primarily set during the rise of ‘Hulkamania’ and won’t be focused on Hogan’s recent controversies. The film is in its final stages of development right now and it is expected to premiere on Netflix.
Right after being promoted to the main roster just earlier this week, it has been announced that Ricochet will no longer be competing on some upcoming EVOLVE Wrestling shows after all. “The One and Only” had been set to compete at EVOLVE’s March 15th and 16th shows, but the promotion has just confirmed that he will no longer be featured on those cards. Fortunately, fans who will be attending those shows have received a suitable replacement in NXT Superstar The Velveteen Dream. Ricochet suddenly being pulled from these shows is likely due to his recent call up to WWE’s main roster. The former NXT North American Champion will still be attending the shows to take part in the meet and greet sessions with fans.

Breaking News….
Velveteen Dream will replace Ricochet at EVOLVE on March 15th in Melrose, MA and March 16th in Queens, NY.
Ricochet will still be at both events for Meet & Greets.
